Julia Swallow

I completed my undergraduate degree in Sociology at the University of Liverpool in 2010, and an MA in Social Research Methods at the University of York in 2012. I completed my ESRC funded PhD titled, ‘The Role of Instruments for Screening Cognitive Function: A sociological exploration’ at the University of Leeds in January 2016. My research interests range widely and include, medicines, health and illness; age and the ageing process; (bio)medical technologies and genetics; patient and professional identities, and professional practice in healthcare.
